Many loc heads talk about the freedom to do their own locs and skip the loctician's chair all the same. I used to retwist my own hair and I can vividly remember how my arms got tired from the twisting and turning before I started to semifreeform(where you just let your locs grow with less manipulation ,you just wash and go and maybe retwist once in 6-9 months).But,not all locs can be semifreeformed.Everything has its pros and cons,I semifreeform because I am a Loctician and I can closely monitor the process and because I have thick locs,and also because I don't mind flat locs(happens when you don't retwist).If you have medium or thin locs,semifreeforming is not for you!
